Os sinais e sintomas decorrentes da irrita\u00e7\u00e3o ocular e do<br \/>\ntrato respirat\u00f3rio se assemelham aqueles produzidos por infec\u00e7\u00e3o viral. Manchas amarelas e eros\u00e3o do esmalte<br \/>\ndental t\u00eam sido relatadas.<\/li>\n<li>Perigo de aspira\u00e7\u00e3o: \u00c9 corrosivo e pode causar queimaduras do trato gastrintestinal. Ap\u00f3s a ingest\u00e3o ocorre corros\u00e3o<br \/>\ndas membranas mucosas da boca, garganta e es\u00f4fago, com dores e disfagia. As \u00e1reas necrosadas t\u00eam um<br \/>\naspecto branco-acinzentado que, em seguida, adquirem aspecto enegrecido, algumas vezes com textura rugosa. Este processo \u00e9 descrito com &#8220;coagula\u00e7\u00e3o necr\u00f3tica&#8221;. Na sequ\u00eancia ocorrem dores epig\u00e1stricas, associadas com<br \/>\nn\u00e1useas e v\u00f4mitos de material mucoide com apar\u00eancia de &#8220;borra de caf\u00e9&#8221;. A hemorragia g\u00e1strica pode tornar- se<br \/>\nintensa e os v\u00f4mitos podem conter sangue fresco. A temperatura ambiente libera fuma\u00e7as (fumos) vermelhos ou amareladas.
